About Monterey Bay Deals
The Monterey Bay Deals is a local blog about Monterey County written by Jason Lee and well that’s me. I grew up in South Monterey County and have lived the majority of my life in this county. Over the past decade, I have strived to be a better person than I had been in my past life and will continue to try and be a better person every single day. I write that for a reason and hopefully you’ll follow along in my posts to understand a little more about myself and why I am doing this.
I started Monterey Bay Deals as a way to share deals, coupons, and discounts which was suppose to start as directory for local businesses. One thing I’ve realized is that Monterey County’s tourism industry, attractions, specials on rooms, whale watching, the wharf, Cannery Row, and many other places have taken a hit.
Why not write about about a state park, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and all the other places people can visit and enjoy in while visiting our beautiful area. I hope to do some interviewing as I get out of my shell and start speaking with locals taking in our sites and the people who come from all over the world. Only good can come from it. I want to help and hopefully some of our locals will read up on something they’ve never done or seen. Maybe a visitor will share their excitement at having been interviewed and shares it with others talking about our county inspiring other visitors.
This is about sharing the sites, sounds, food, smells, attractions, and the mix of culture blended here in the county. Most importantly helping the local economy by keeping people employed, parents being able to help their children, children making their parents proud, inspiring people to open their own businesses and creating even more jobs. Please if anything especially a local help out one another communities are better for it.
